TIE is a Colorado-based organization founded in 1986 by a group of teachers with a vision of the important role technology would play in education. Today, with over 1200 members, TIE has become the premier training institute in Colorado. TIE is organized by a governing board of 9 volunteers. TIE's major objective is to host a four day, hands-on conference in a mountain community during early summer that models the use of technology integration into the classroom. Last year's conference featured over 165 different workshops and spot light sessions with over 140 different presenters, mostly classroom teachers.

Registration for the annual TIE Conference opens approximately the 1st of March each year. Due to the popularity of the conference, registration is often closed by the end of March. TIE takes pride in a hands-on approach to training. Through the generous contributions of Colorado school districts, the last conference had 350 computers on location providing better than a 3 to 1 ratio of attendees to computers.

TIE always welcomes new presenters, corporate sponsors, vendors and, of course, members. If you have additional questions regarding TIE, use the Voice Mail number below or contact any of the TIE Board Members via email or phone.
